(1) These terms of use govern the use of the web application and interactive literary engine Narraboros (hereinafter referred to as “service” or “engine”), operated by:

(2) The service is currently in a private, closed testing and development phase (beta). Access is free of charge upon invitation or activation.

(3) There is no legal right to access, registration or permanent use of the service in this phase.

(1) Narraboros combines deterministic backend state logic with AI language models (including Gemini API) to dynamically continue literary narratives based on user input.

(2) Fictional character: All texts, characters, places and actions output by the engine are purely fictional. Any similarities to actual persons, living or deceased, or actual events are purely coincidental and unintentional.

(3) No guarantee for accuracy: The generated texts represent neither factual statements nor advice of any kind.

(1) The user retains all existing rights to the texts and action descriptions (hereinafter “prompts”) entered into the application.

(2) The user grants the provider the spatially and temporally unlimited, free of charge, non-exclusive right to technically store, process, mask the entered prompts, add internal system snapshots and transmit them to the connected AI interfaces (APIs), insofar as this is necessary for the operation, continuation of the narrative and error analysis of the engine.

(1) Complete grant of rights: To the extent that copyrights, ancillary copyrights or other intellectual property rights may arise in the texts, descriptions or content generated by the engine, the provider transfers or grants the respective user upon their creation an exclusive (but at least simple, unrestricted) right, unlimited in time, space and content, to use, edit and grant this content for private and commercial purposes reproduce, publish and exploit (e.g. as part of your own publications, e-books or games).

(2) No guarantee for protectability: The user is aware that purely AI-generated works are generally in the public domain under applicable copyright law due to a lack of human creativity. The provider expressly assumes no guarantee that the expenses are protectable, monopolizable or free of third-party rights.

(3) Personal responsibility for commercial use: If the user intends to commercially use the generated texts, the user is solely responsible for checking any name, trademark, personality or copyright infringements of third parties. The provider assumes no liability for this.

(1) FSK-12 framing: As a literary system, Narraboros is architecturally and promptly technically designed for an age-appropriate FSK-12 frame. This is ensured by automated system instructions and server-side filter guardrails.

(2) Automated processing & privacy: In accordance with the architectural guiding principle “Privacy by Design” and the requirements of the GDPR, there is no manual inspection or monitoring of the individual game processes, prompts or generated texts by the operator. Compliance with the FSK 12 framework and the security rules is carried out exclusively automatically by the system and the connected interfaces.

(3) Inadmissible entries: The user is expressly prohibited from making entries or provoking actions that:

• violate applicable law of the Federal Republic of Germany or the European Union,
• create or aim to create pornographic, hateful, extremely violent or child-endangering content,
• Degrade, insult or slander real-time people,
• Constitute malicious code, exploits or intentional prompt injection attacks to circumvent the FSK 12 guardrails.

(4) The operator reserves the right to block access in the event of automated system attacks or serious violations.

(1) Since the service is provided free of charge and as part of a private beta test, it is provided “as is”.

(2) The provider is only liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence as well as for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health. Furthermore, liability for data loss, downtime or other financial loss is excluded.

(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

(2) If a provision of these terms of use is or becomes ineffective, the effectiveness of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
